ANGUS BEEF |

All of our beef is clean raised on grass and improved pasture with no hormones or antibiotics. We are selecting proven genetics to ensure that our product is tender, delicious, and healthy. Attention is paid to the health, care, and nutrition and of these animals from birth to harvest. This allows for rapid growth without the use hormones or antibiotics. Animals that require antibiotic treatments are not marketed through this program. Most animals are harvested between 12 and 18 months of age. The genetics are cutting edge in the angus breed. Many of the sires used for breeding are in the top 25% of the angus breed for meat quality traits. For information regarding our beef, please email us: info@tarheelangus.com. A common question from interested clients is about grass fed beef. While our animals are on forage daily, their growth is approximately 50% less when their complete daily ration is our native fescue grass. Forages typically have up to a 6 month period of rapid vegetative growth, then they enter the reproductive stage and become dormant or die. When we combine fescue, rye grass, crab grass and summer sudan grasses in an annual rotation with selected protein, energy, vitamin mineral supplement; our animals reach physical maturity in half the time of native pasture only. Our beef is available wholesale directly from our farm. This freezer beef is custom packaged by a USDA inspected plant in Siler City, North Carolina. This excellent product is dry aged for premium tenderness, flavor, and texture. We sell our bulk beef in sizes ranging from 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or a full cut steer. To order freezer beef wholesale and directly from us, please contact us early as the processing needs to be planned several weeks in advance. |
